Victron Energy has released version 556 of the VE.Bus firmware. This update introduces improved system reliability when using generators.
Previously, it was necessary to enable the 'Weak AC Input' setting for certain generator and inverter/charger combinations. With this update, that is no longer required, resulting in a higher maximum charging current. This improvement applies when the selected grid code is set to 'None' or 'Other,' which are the recommended settings for generator connections.
Note: Installing VE.Bus updates requires sufficient system knowledge and is best left to trained personnel. If you proceed with the update, all settings will be reset to default values, and the product must be reconfigured.
