EX-PRESS panels keep explosive gases outside the enclosure by means of a controlled internal overpressure. While the principle is straightforward, its build and implementation requires extensive expertise.
This protection method is typically applied when Ex d or Ex e enclosures are no longer sufficient. This is often the case when integrating bulky or specialized equipment such as analyzers, where conventional explosion protection reaches its limits.
An Exp enclosure is generally manufactured in stainless steel and demands strict attention to:
- Air tightness – essential to ensure stable and reliable overpressure
- Mechanical strength – designed for harsh industrial environments
- Full system validation – certification of the fully assembled unit, not just individual components
In accordance with ATEX 2014/34/EU (ATEX 114), an EU Type Examination Certificate is issued by a Notified Body for the fully assembled Exp enclosure (Category 2G/2D – EPL Gb/Db).
Thanks to our framework certificate and extensive in-house testing facilities, we consistently deliver creative, fully certified solutions tailored to each specific application.
For us, customization is the standard.
