Victron introduces the VM-3P5A, a new energy meter designed for larger commercial and industrial ESS installations.
The VM-3P5A works with standard 5 A current transformers (CTs) and can measure currents from 10 to 6,000 A per phase. The CT ratio is adjustable, allowing the meter to be easily matched to the capacity of the installation.
Flexible in use
The VM-3P5A supports single-phase, split-phase and three-phase systems. It is not suitable for 3 x 230 V networks without a neutral conductor. Communication with the Victron GX system takes place via VE.Can or Ethernet.
The Victron VM-3P5A therefore opens the door to larger ESS projects where an external metering solution was previously required.
