The Ex p protection level is only used when no simple solution is possible with Ex d and/or Ex e. This method of protection is exceptional and demands a great deal of expertise for successful implementation. Of course, compressed air or an inert gas must be present for this protection method. Ysebaert NV offers a fully certified system that is suitable for installation in zone 1/21. The corresponding certificate covers the enclosure, the contents and the Ex p system. For manufacturers a (simplified) zone 2/22 Ex p system is available.
